Kochi Dares The Devils From Delhi

As someone said,"we conquered the south by beating Chennai,we conquered the west by beating Mumbai,we conquered the east by beating kolkata and now we beat Delhi to conquer the north".We may be the debutants but we are the uncrowned kings of the IPL.

It was a very convincing win for the Tuskers from Kochi after a three match losing streak as it beat the Delhi Daredevils by 7 wickets in the IPL on Monday. The Kochi bowlers bowlers bowled very well as the Delhi were restricted to 140 for six especially by the bowling efforts of Prasath Parameswaran(2/19),who played his debut match and Vinay Kumar(2/25).

The Kerala boy Prasanth Parameswaran just signed the contract a few days ago and got the chance to prove it.He was awarded the man of the match by taking the crucial wickets of Virender Sehwag and the in-form man Venugopal Rao.

In response, the Kochi Tuskers Kerala were off to to a flying start with Brendon McCullum scoring a quick fire 37 off  19 balls and Micheal Klinger(18).They put on 61 runs of 5.1 overs. There were many bizarre moments in the match as Vinay Kumar's double bounced ball was hit to a boundary and the skipper Mahela was run out after a confident lbw shout by Reolf Van Der Merwe.

Parthiv and Brad Hodge then steered the team to victory without getting any further damage. It was a great victory as far as Kochi are concerned. They moved from ninth to sixth position in the ipl points table. This victory has definetly given the team the momentum it needed and lifted team's spirits.
